Feel like you’re stuck in a cycle of work-life success and guilt?
I’ve SO been in your shoes.
I’m Roxy and my passion is encouraging, supporting and empowering
busy business women – like you.
Back in my corporate career days, I was known as the girl who would ‘get stuff done’. I thrived on late nights, short deadlines and high pressure, surrounded by trailblazing women who talked fast, aimed high and taught me valuable life lessons…
That you can be confident and kind… Glamorous and giving… Career-driven and caring.
That’s why I created The High Heels Society.
Whether you want to climb the corporate ladder right to the top or quit and make a difference doing what you love, The High Heels Society will help you get there.
It’s time to forget who the world thinks you should be… and start being who you want to be. I’ll show you how.
Award-winning therapist, women’s rights advocate, mum on a mission and Cadbury chocolate addict
I’m an entrepreneur and fully qualified therapist with professional qualifications in clinical hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP, nutritional therapy and stress management. Quite a mouthful right!
Before building my own award-winning business, I had a past life as a corporate sales lady in a very well known FMCG company (and I got free chocolate!) I worked in law, media and retail before I became disheartened with the ethics and attitudes. I then moved into a successful career in the care and medical industry where I worked in hospitals, nursing homes and in the community.
It was tough… but I loved it.
I became aware of the fact that many patients and relatives were unable to access supportive mental health services that they required within a reasonable time frame. This – and the birth of my first child – inspired me to create Mind Matters Therapies Ltd, an award-winning private practice, helping clients to overcome mental, physical and emotional issues.
Leaving my career behind, embarking on a journey as an entrepreneur and building a business around my family was both exciting and terrifying! There were glorious highs and emotional lows. I gained so much, but I also had to let go of a great deal… my idea of who I was and my idea of who I ‘should’ be.
I’m now vaguely corporate – I rock heels in my office, but on a Skype session it’s very likely that I’ve got my PJ bottoms and fluffy socks on!
My second child arrived in February, and with him came the birth of my second business: The High Heels Society!
It’s an inspiring community of women where rules are broken, traditional role-models are challenged and lives are changed. A place where you can be exactly who you want to be, so you can go after that next promotion with total confidence, step back in the office with pride (even if you work part-time) or walk those fabulous heels of yours into a totally new role, without losing your identity.
I can’t wait to meet you!
